What is the power of the direct gaze? 

I have had a hard time with this prompt mostly because I am now consumed by the home prompt and will do a self portrait and not think about this too much. It will be nourishing to listen to the thoughts of others and respond in a physical way with the paint.

What materials did you use to answer this prompt? 

These paint markers are also consuming so I will use linen, this time sized, gessoed and not stretched to 22 x 30 inches with plenty of material on the edges to stretch myself or with a framer if I choose.

What is your subject matter?

Myself, at this moment, after two years at home.

What was your process?

I really flip flopped about doing other things because I don’t want to paint myself right now which is, of course, why I am going to make myself do it.
