WORKSHOP DATE: March 26 and April 2, 2022

WHEN: Saturday March 26: 10am-2pm EST and Saturday April 2: 10am-11:30am EST

WHERE: Virtual on Zoom, Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill

SESSIONS: 2 Sessions

Join us on Zoom to study the innovative work of Hilma af Klint and create art that emulates her spirit. This two session workshop will kick off with a discussion-based lecture about her work, where we will examine her use of color, pattern, geometry, and symbolism. Afterwards, artists will participate in a virtual “open studio" co-working space, where they will begin making their own artwork in the spirit of Hilma af Klint, and Laura, Alana, and fellow artists will be available to answer questions and provide feedback. Artists will have the remainder of the week to independently finish their art. The following Saturday, the course will end with a group critique, in which compassionate, thoughtful, and encouraging analysis will be provided about everyone’s work.
