Tony Vevers (1926 - 2008) was a central figure in the Provincetown art community who made lyrical expressionist paintings in the 1950’s and 60’s. By working from a model with guided exercises, you will learn how to make compelling compositions on a two-dimensional surface with subject matter (the model in a chosen environment) and color as your primary focus.

We begin with a PowerPoint presentation with works by Tony Vevers. When the model arrives on ZOOM, we continue with two hours of drawing/painting/collage with a final half hour of empowering critique. You will leave with original artwork, knowledge about figurative expression in Provincetown, and a day well spent with other artists working from the comfort of your own environment.
